I’m pretty sure I mentioned before that we had posted what had to have been the final trailer for the 3DS game Resident Evil Revelations. I’m pretty sure that this post means I was wrong. Wrong and lying to you that we were done with Revelations trailers as the official launch trailer has to be the ‘final’ trailer. Thankfully this is for a handheld so it’s not like there will be a DLC trailer to show off later… right?

Featuring tension building gameplay and limited ammunition supplies, the terror is intense as a menacing new horror takes the fight above and below water on the supposedly abandoned Queen Zenobia cruise ship. Episodic gameplay moves between the hallways of the Queen Zenobia, snow-covered mountaintops, and the floating city of Terragrigia in a story seen through the perspective of four playable characters. Built from the ground up specifically for Nintendo 3DS, Resident Evil Revelations brings the fear to life using the MT Framework® Mobile engine to deliver astounding visuals rendered in three dimensions.

In an all-new storyline that takes place between the events of Resident Evil®4 and Resident Evil®5, Resident Evil Revelations follows branching stories of franchise favorite characters Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield. Chris has disappeared and it’s up to Jill, along with her new partner Parker Luciani, to track down his whereabouts. Their only clue leads them to an abandoned cruise ship in the Mediterranean. Far from being empty, the vessel hides danger around every corner as Jill and Parker explore the confined spaces of the ship, facing frightening horrors that emerge from the darkness. For the first time in the franchise, players will venture underwater in an effort to escape the terrifying creatures roaming the ship. Full of conspiracies and plot twists, Resident Evil Revelations is told in the style of a TV drama as players work to discover the location of Chris Redfield, the source of the T-Virus, and the intentions of a mysterious terrorist organization, Veltro.

Along with the new characters and setting, Resident Evil Revelations debuts a new piece of equipment, the Genesis Scanner. This innovative device allows players to scan the environments and enemy remains to find hidden objects, uncover secrets, and earn additional health benefits. Found objects include customizable weapon parts which tailor weapons to the taste of the player via the in-game workbenches. Customizations range from simple increases in ammunition capacity to affecting the strength of a player’s weapon relative to their health.

Players needn’t face the terrifying T-Abyss virus alone. Raid Mode, new to the Resident Evil® series, offers a different kind of experience separate from the main campaign. Players compete in a variety of time-based missions either solo or cooperatively via online or local play. Players earn points by attacking enemies and select from a range of upgrades to improve their weapon’s performance. New missions, additional ammunition, and custom parts can be earned via the StreetPass™ feature on the Nintendo 3DS system.

Resident Evil Revelations also supports the Circle Pad Pro peripheral from Nintendo. Adding an additional directional pad and two shoulder buttons, the Circle Pad Pro takes the Resident Evil Revelations experience to the next level.

We posted a Resident Evil 6 Trailer last week and now have some screenshots to show you of what to look forward to in the game. It’s going to be the most excited Resident Evil game in the franchise in quite awhile and it’s something worth following.

It’s a bit unusual that I will post a trailer for a video game this late in the day well after our regular post schedule. All I have to say though is WOW, Resident Evil 6′s first trailer looks absolutely stunning. I need more. I need to see more and I need to see it now.

Sure I know the “I went to so and so and all I got was this lousy shirt” theme is really overdone. That being said it does have to do with Resident Evil and replaced t-shirt just slightly with the T-Virus. For me it works. I chuckled.

On a side note, modified version of this ending with ‘this lousy bite’ might be good for people who go to zombie walks.

While Capcom has been in the food business before making (see: licencing) various of their properties to be snacks before they are doing something new. On January 15th they are opening a Capcom Bar in the Tokyo’s Shinjuku Ward of Japan. Why? Well why the hell not?

They have a full menu based around their various properties but it looks as if their deserts and snacks are what are going to be a hit for the zombie fans with at the very least having some kind of a brain treat for you to enjoy. If any of our readers are out that way we’d love to get some shots of the menu (with translations) and pictures of the final products!

I wish Capcom would stop releasing Raccoon City trailers. We get it. The game looks amazing. It looks like it’s going to play amazing. It’s everything a LOT of us have asked for form a Resident Evil game for years. Quit making us wait already and find a way to release it early! Argh!

Take on the role of the bad guys with USS members Vector, Beltway, Lupo, Four-Eyes, Spectre or Bertha. Alternatively play as the good guys and experiencethe horrors of Raccoon City as Tweed, Dee-ay, Harley, Willow, Shona or Party Girl, members of the US Spec Ops that we revealed earlier this week in the Triple Impact trailer. Meet the US Spec Ops characters in person by downloading their newcharacter art on the press site. Breaking the conventions of traditional third person shooters, players will not only have to compete against their team’s opposing squad but tackle a third unpredictable force as zombies and B.O.W.s add to the mix.

In Team Deathmatch, battle for the most kills in brutal triple threat chaos that leaves players never knowing what’s behind them, an element that could only exist in the twisted Resident Evil universe. Ensure that samples of the G-virus are returned safely to their base in Biohazard mode while fighting off all the competing forces at play in Raccoon City. Try to survive the horror just a little bit longer while waiting for rescue in Survivors mode. There’s limited space on board a helicopter so fight off the opposition and survive the hordes of hungry zombies, risking infection if they get too close. Try to make it out of Raccoon City alive!

Of course there’s also the previously announced Heroes Mode which allows fans to play as one of their favorite Resident Evil characters, including Leon S. Kennedy, Hunk or Jill Valentine.

Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City will be available for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on March 20 in North America.

As Operation Raccoon City ever draws nearer we are getting more and more pieces of information trickling out from Capcom. Honestly I had thought they were done showing us trailers but now we have a new one for the Triple Threat showing us 6 members of the US Spec Ops team that are looking into the T-Virus outbreak. On the one hand I feel Capcom overdoes it with their trailers on the other this is one game that I CANNOT wait to pickup!

A brand new Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City trailer which introduces the six members of the US Spec Ops team – Tweed, Dee-Ay, Harley, Willow, Shona and Party Girl. Sent into the ill-fated Raccoon City to determine the source of the mysterious T-virus outbreak, the US Spec Ops team will use their elite skills and training to defeat the Umbrella Security Service (USS) team and ensure the truth behind the outbreak is revealed. This new trailer shows off the brutal triple threat combat between the USS, US Spec Ops, and zombies and B.O.W’s.

Players will assume the role of either the good or bad guys and compete against each other in a battle for survival. But it’s not that simple. Adding a twist to the traditional TPS gameplay, players will not only need to defeat the opposing team but also zombies and B.O.W’s delivering a compelling triple threat battle.
