As you may or may not be able to tell from the picture above.. I.. am a dog. My master (the oh so amazing editor and chief of Buy Zombie, Stuart Conover) always tells me that I sleep way too much and never contribute around the house. That being the case I’ve decided I would, when the occasion arose, write shirt reviews anytime we have a shirt come in to check out.

I was really hoping to get away with never actually having to review a shirt. I’m usually quite busy trying to get food or a walk in the 2 hours I am actually awake each day but when Bigtime Teez sent over this amazing shirt from my favorite funny zombie movie I had to try it on. I mean who doesn’t love everything about Shaun of the Dead, especially the Winchester Tavern? I mean seriously a Winchester Tavern T-Shirt? What an amazing idea!

I tried it on and have to say the shirt fits amazingly well. It’s not too snug or too loose and perfect on the dog (or guy) whose your average weight for shirt size. The greatest thing about the sizes? For those who are either taller or not quote the slimmest of trims they offer shirt sizes up to 5XL which if they did print on demand would be awesome for us in general!

It’s not only comfortable but as you can tell by the pictures, quite stylish! Screen printed shirts are always the way to go these days to get the look down of having great text or graphics on a shirt and they clearly know what they are doing as the shirt looks perfect.

Even so they’ve got a great selection of sizes, shirts, and colors that range from zombies to humor. Really we only care about the zombies though (hey it’s our thing) so it’s great to know that they have 6 zombie themed shirt in their horror selection! (My only complaint is while they do have shirts with dogs, there are none with labs. Therefor I am one biased dog. Again though this is about the undead so that’s not really a valid complaint.)

Shuan of the Dead has become the modern day zombie humor classic. There have been a few others out there, Fido and Zombieland come to mind, however neither of these match the pure absurdness of awesomeness that Shaun of the Dead has. It’s a slew of humor and when someone makes a cartoony shirt tribute to it we just have to share with you a 1920′s animated Shaun.

There has long been a love of both legos and zombies that co-exist out there. What happens when such a love of the undead goes too far? Well… honestly I don’t think it’s possible! There is a Flickr user though that goes by Yatkuu whose love of Shaun of the Dead holda no bounds and fortunatly that means WE GET LEGO SHAUN OF THE DEAD!

If we hole up, I wanna be somewhere familiar, I wanna know where the exits are, and I wanna be allowed to smoke!

I loved Lego’s growing up. Not nearly as much as I loved zombies but they were always enjoyable. To see what people are coming up with these days that are zombie related from legos is just a pleasure to behold. The Winchester, interior and exterior, in lego form. Ladies and gentlemen give this man a prize for being awesome.

Everything’s better in 8-Bit! (Including HD 3D films!.. but that’s another story) so with everything being better in 8-Bit of course zombies and everyone’s favorite zombie killer are also better in 8-Bit! This Shaun of the Dead 8-Bit shirt is pretty bad ass and really just makes me wish someone would make a web game out of it. *Cough*Hint*Cough*

What happens when you mix one of the funniest zombie comedies of all time with one of the best zombie comics? Clearly it’s Shaun of the Walking Dead.

For some reason I don’t think Shaun and Rick would get along too well.

Shaun of the Dead’s I Got Wood Shirt

Zombie fans and non-zombie fans wil agree – Shaun of the Dead is a comedic masterpiece. So it’s only fitting that Ed gets a little more spotlight when it comes to the swag department and here’s a shirt with his motto written all over it!

Liz: Shaun — d’you see what I’m saying?
Shaun: Yeah, totally.
Liz: I mean, I know he’s your best friend, but you do live with him.
Shaun: I know…
Liz: It’s not that I don’t like Ed. Ed, it’s not that I don’t like you.

Ed’s the sort of guy who would have clicked to buy the Shirt Plate from our April Fool’s collection. He has probably repurposed Pete’s Roomba to carry around beer so eventually it bumps its way over to the couch (as long as they haven’t left the front door open again… “Is that our Roomba in the neighbor’s garden?”), and he can just reach down to make beer happen. And if Pete had survived the zombie onslaught, well, survived as a human, he wouldn’t have bothered to wash the blood out of this shirt. I mean, it’s a badge of honor. Proof of the battles he fought. Blah blah war wounds blah blah laundry blah blah.

This is the officially-licensed version of Ed’s “I Got Wood” shirt from Shaun of the Dead. Pre-stained with blood (aka red ink), it’s basically a costume on its own. Which gives you more time to focus on the important things in life like Tekken 2.

While we all know the plan works, kind of, when you read through it in the context of the film it’s absolutely absurd. Of course it’s supposed to be, that’s a large point of the movie. Still this one is perfect for every Shaun of the Dead fan out there! (I kind of wish they offered this as a print as well.)

Shaun: Take car. Go to mum’s. Kill Phil, grab Liz, go to the Winchester, have a nice cold pint, and wait for all of this to blow over. How’s that for a slice of fried gold?

HUMOR: Shaun of the Dead in 60 Seconds Scott Pilgrim Style

I had a slew of people send this one in and couldn’t wait to be able to show it off but we’ve just had so much news this week I didn’t have a chance to until now. Still with it being the beginning of the weekend it seemed like the perfect time to get a few extra laughs in!

This is basically my love letter to all things Edgar Wright/Scott Pilgrim! I saw and read Scott Pilgrim in the summer of last year, and it had such a massive impact I decided to make this to vent my creative juices!

interesting fact – I did a cracking caricature of Bill Nighy but I had to leave it out in the end. Shame

I did the voices for Shaun and Ed and my mum kindly lent her vocal chords for Liz and Daisy… I Mean Yvonne!
