So Daryl And 2 Zombies Walk Into A Bar…

Here we have a first look from AMC of 3 upcoming The Walking Dead toys from characters based on the television version of the series. They are all coming this November and are done by the comic turned toy guru McFarlane! All I can say is that they really are a site to see and I think at least one of those zombies are going to make their way to my ‘shelf o zombie stuff’ as I like to call it.

Daryl Dixon
An abrasive survivalist, and brother of the outspoken racist Merle, Daryl Dixon is an all-new character created specifically for the hit AMC television show. Our figure of Daryl features the exact likeness of the actor, taken from a 3D scan of Norman Reedus himself. Figure comes with crossbow, hunting knife, fire axe, pick axe, and even a string of squirrels.

Zombie Walker
This memorable Zombie Walker, clad in a dirty business suit, was encountered by Rick during his first excursion into Atlanta. Upon Rick’s arrival, the walker rose from the wreckage of a city bus and followed Rick to an abandoned tank. This figure features all the attention to detail that McFarlane Toys is known for. The Radio Active Zombie was created the day his live body was disposed of in a drum of radioactive waste and throw into a deep-water river. This poor victim was planning to tell the authorities about the local power plants disposal practices. Unfortunately, the perpetrators didn’t consider that the radioactive gunk would reanimate our Good Samaritan, something they realized when the Radio Active Zombie got its revenge. This radioactive creation was sculpted by Justin Mabry.

Brain Stress Ball

While this is clearly not being sold as a toy for your freshly turned zombie… it’s a brain that can be squeezed to relieve stress and not properly eaten. (Not to say that they won’t try.) It’s the perfect toy for the newly undead to get them out of the mindset that brains equal food.

Sometimes we wonder whether the burden of being smart is worth all the hassle. It’s hard holding all this knowledge. It’s hard watching bad news on TV and getting frustrated because you know 80 different ways something could have been done better. We wonder if maybe we were a little dumber, maybe life would be peaches and cream. Ignorance is bliss, right? There’s gotta be some truth to that because some days, being smart is killing us.

This stress ball is the perfect salve for those days when your gray matter is irking you. Open the petri dish, retrieve the purply-gray brain, squish the gooey thing in your hand a bit. Then pull back and hurl it with all your might against the nearest wall. SPLAT! The brain will smoosh to the wall with a satisfying squishy noise. Then slowly it will crawl its way down to the floor. Make Your Own Zombie Action Figure Customizing Kit

…hah… hah… hahahahhaah. OK this is just a fun little set of toys. I really don’t know what else to say but who doesn’t want to be able to make their own zombies. Ones they can in turn destroy!

Researchers at ZïEïRïO (Zombie Emergency Response Operations) have categorized zombies into 7 different classes, depending on their state of decay and relative danger. The Make Your Own Zombie Kit allows the collector/hobbyist to create one or several interchangeable classes of fully-poseable zombie, combining classic model-kit building with the new hobby of action figure customization!

Each kit contains 5 heads (in various states of ultra-detailed decay), 2 pairs of forearms, 2 pairs of lower legs, 2 pairs of hands, 1 pair of feet (rotten and chewed), 2 clothing sets, 1 chest prosthetic, and 3 1/9-scale bodies to which any of these pieces can be attached. The kit also comes with a DVD that features painting and assembly instructions.

OK they lost me at painting instructions. Assembly I’m good with but let’s face it I just don’t have enough time to paint. That being said if YOU have enough time to paint this is the perfect little addition to any zombie collection!
