For those who were lucky (lucky? might not be the right word) Zombie Apocalypse was shown early on SyFy. For those who don’t have SyFy or missed this, amazing zombie film, ahem. So there are going to be a few options here: DVD, Blu-ray and On Demand will all be showing the film on December 27th. The Asylum always puts out some interesting zombie films and while some are horrible to even think about some are watchable. This one had a strange kind of entertaining. I’m not sure if I can exactly recommend it to buy but it may just be worth a rent.

Ramona (Taryn Manning), Billy (Eddie Steeples) and Kevin (Gerald Webb) have just come down from a hideaway in the mountains months after a zombie apocalypse. They are immediately beset by a dozen zombies and rescued by Mack, Cassie, Hammer, and Julian who are on their way to Catalina Island, the last refuge of humanity. They take the newcomers under their wing as they hunt for supplies, kill massive amounts of zombies, and try to survive.

So the new Asylum zombie film, Zombie Apocalypse, is premiering on Syfy on October 29′th at 9/8 Central and four hours later will have it be re-run. If you want to see the film and have Syfy I suggest checking it out since after that it won’t be aired or seen until it’s released on DVD at the end of December. Being an Asylum film there’s a chance it could be extremely painful to watch. Being a film that Syfy approved as premiering it could be that way, or be that kind of ‘bad movie’ that you love to watch. We’ll find out on the 29th!

A little over a month ago we let you see some stills from Zombie Apocalypse to get a feel for how the movie will look. Top top that today we’re able to show you the official trailer for the film!

While anything with Ving Rhames in it and zombies clearly should be good….. we fearfully remember that certain film we hate to mention the name of Day of the Dead (the sorry excuse for a ‘remake’ that butchered the name.)

Fortunately THIS film does not look like it will be bad. If it is it can’t be as bad as that one so hopefully this film will be welcoming Ving back into the hearts of zombie loving audiences the world over!

Well it looks as if Ving Rhames is once again going to suit up in his ass kicking look and tone of voice to go up against zombies, tihs time in the Zombie Apocalypse. What a catchy and original title don’t you agree? I really have absolutely nothing to say on the film until we see a trailer since the early shots are a mix of interesting to groan worthy though the zombies do look pretty dead.

Kevin Eastman To Co-Produce “Zombie Apocalypse”

Kevin Eastman of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle co-creator fame (fame from my young teenage years at least) is set to co-produce a film called Zombie Apocalypse with Carlos Gallardo (who usually works with Robert Rodriquez on films such as “El Mariachi,” “Desperado” and “Once Upon a Time in Mexico.”)

The film is being created as a trilogy with suplimental graphic novels, merchandise, and a video game. The graphic novel itsell will be produced by Heavy Metal Publishing (which is where Eastman becomes involved.)

The film itself was cowritten by Mark Strange and Steve Horvath.

Zombie Apocalypse 2 Announced

Zombie Apocalypse 2 will not follow the cast from the original film. While it takes place in the same world as the original it is going to have a completely new cast. The director plans more action, post-apocalyptic scenarios, blood, and of course more of the undead! All of this with at least 10 times the budget of the original film! They are beginning filming somewhere in August or September of 2010 so we should have a lot of new information in the near future!

Recently showed off some screen shots from Zombie Apocalypse and of course how could I resist showing you an in game video? I will admit though if the sound effects in this video are the real ones from the game the chances of me actually buying it? Not high. Granted I can always play the game muted or with other sound going but… no. Hopefully that’s just whoever made the video adding in sound? Please?
