The Ded Dave Show

While not my kind of humor I know there are plenty out there who will probably enjoy this one.

The Ded Dave Show is a Detroit-based horror skit-com about what zombies do when they are not eating you. Combining elements of horror cinema, art, music and sketch comedy, The Ded Dave Show brings a new twist on zombies and how they get by in the afterlife. The Ded Dave Show breaks new ground for independent local television with off-center humor, content and a production quality that is almost unbelievable for a do-it-yourself show filmed in a basement with no budget. Join Ded Dave, Bog and a host of undead characters in their adventures in the land of the dead.

Teenage Zombies – Alternate Commentary

Well, now if you want to watch every zombie movie ever made but reallly don’t wanna sit through the disasterpiece that is *Teenage Zombies*, you can watch it for free (since it’s in public domain) online at Vimeo, with an MST3K- or Rifftrax-like commentary tacked on. The “Circus Peanut Gallery” (as they call themselves) is funny enough. Check it out!

Teenage Zombies (1959, in the public domain) is a “horror” movie about not-exactly teenagers who are turned into not-exactly zombies for a few minutes.

The rest of the time, it’s a movie about walking and boating, walking while looking for a boat, walking toward or away from a boat, boating in order to go walking… hold on a sec—gotta catch my breath… walking on the bow of a boat, and dragging a boat on or off the shore.

There are also some very exciting off-screen water-skiing sequences, as well as some imaginary horses.

In between the privileged rich-kid transportation, there’s a plan to turn all Americans into mindless slaves, orchestrated by a group whose motives are apparently so diabolical they couldn’t be discussed on film.

Eat Brains Love

Just adding zombies will get guys to see almost any chick flick out there. I mean everything is better with zombies right? Hell if you think about it, without the zombies: Shaun Of The Dead could be considered a chick flick. Loser guy, has the girl, loses the girl, finds a way to win the girl back and grows up in the process.

You never thought about it like that before did you. I just blew your mind. Shaun of the Dead is a chick flick in disguise and no one has ever figured it out.

Rambling aside this movie would be great if this was the actual title.

Dead Rising 2 – A Practical Guide To Dealing With Zombie Infection

With Dead Rising 2 infecting the X-Box later this year they want to be sure everyone is ready for the zombie outbreak and how to help any that you find who may become infected. It’s a pretty straight forward process though if the above image seems too overwhelming the short version is to:

• Learn the symptoms
• Take precautions
• Administer cure

Simple, straight forward, and painfully obvious on how to handle the situation when it comes up.

Remember though: Prevention is always better than cure.

Jim Henson’s Resident Evil 5

A lot of films are trying to be cross genre these days. Zombie Humor, Zombie Romance. Even video games are going it with all of the Lego Star Wars / Lego Indiana Jones / etc games.

It was only a matter of time before the muppets cashed in on the zombie craze and we have the exclusive trailer from IGN about the film that will be released after Resident Evil: Afterlife.

Clearly this is from a fan of both the Simpsons and the undead. While I love both dearly I don’t think this particular mash up is one that would grace my body.

Here is a problem we consistently see throughout zombie films of all kinds. This being the case of that idiot who got himself bitten and is convinced that it doesn’t matter. Yes he was bitten but surely he isn’t infected. He won’t become a zombie. There’s nothing to worry about – Really.

Nazi Zombie Humor

College Humor has really done an amazing number on making fun of the whole nazi zombie concept by overanalyzing it (…to death.) While they go a bit overboard it starts off from making fun of Call of Duty and overall is just entertaining.

Honestly I swear I’ve had parts of this conversation with multiple friends.

The Zombie Chainsaw

One of the Geekologie Readers submitted this wonderful chainsaw that they designed to the site. I’m pretty sure everyone out there can agree that chainsaws and the undead go hand in hand so why not make a chainsaw with a zombie theme? While I’d worry that the blood may damage the paint you can’t deny if you you have to kill of some zombies anyway you might as well kill them in style!
