The Barely Rotten Girls™ were created to provide a stronger representation of women in the world of horror entertainment. Through our photography-based projects, we portray the female zombie as a modern day iconic depiction of girls in horror, while maintaining a unique balance between allure and terror. Traditionally, women have taken a backseat as entertainers in the horror genre. The roles of “scream queen†being the pinnacle of aspiration, but those days have passed. We strive to provide a platform for ladies to portray the predator verses the prey and to maintain their beauty without being exploited.
