REVIEW: Dead World

Movie Description

AN 11 YEAR OLD GIRL FINDS HERSELF IN THE MIDDLE OF A ZOMBIE INVASION AND SHE MUST BATTLE TO SURVIVE THE ONSLAGHT OF THE UNDEAD

Review

I bought Dead World on eBay for literally two dollars. It came with a case, shoddy cover art, a Certificate of Authenticity, and a couple fliers of advertising. I assume the cert was included because the DVD is burned off, most likely on someone’s computer, with no disc art and no DVD menu; however, the disc *is* signed by the director and actress. They went to great lengths to make sure the buyer knew this wasn’t a bootleg.

The movie itself is pretty crummy. Editing, acting, direction, photography, special effects.. All are shit. It’s SOV, obviously, a black-and-white homemade flick, and I suppose it’s ok as far as that goes. Plot is really just, “a young girl of 13 roams the zombie apocalypse.” She goes from place to place and encounters zombies. And this is really the only redeeming factor: watching a young girl like that deal with this different, terrifying new world.

Still, this is no _Pathogen_ (the zombie movie made by a 12-year-old girl). For a couple bucks (plus shipping), I could’ve done a lot worse I suppose. I give it 2/10 as a regular movie and 3/10 as a zombie flick.

For the collector who just HAS to have it all the film is available on Amazon
