So it’s that time of the year once again. The time to think about giving (and not giving one another a nasty infection that turns us into mindless flesh eating creatures!) The question truly is though what do you get the zombie fanatic that has it all? I’ve tried to pick out a few gems that you may enjoy that aren’t ‘overly’ owned by everyone under the sun in hopes you can find that special little zombie treat for your undead loving friends and family.

Zombie Movies
This one’s a hard topic. If you are shopping for someone that loves mainly zombie movies all of these are probably already going to be owned though I had to go with the best of the best from more recent releases in hopes you may find one that stands out. I tried to stay away from too independent of films (aside from the low budget wonder) and hope that one of these can help with that movie watching need.
Zombieland
If you haven’t heard of Zombieland by now I’m not sure why you are on this site. I mean really it’s “THE” Zombie film from last year. It’s a great action flick, it’s funny, and it’s great for non-zombie lovers as well! Most of your friends out there you are shopping for realistically probably already have this. If they don’t though this should probably be on your must buy list!
Survival of the Dead
Romero’s most recent “of the Dead” film is out on DVD and while it’s getting mixed reviews it’s a must have to fill out the collection of any real zombie fan! (Honestly aside from the last 10-15 minutes of the film I thought this one was enjoyable as long as you aren’t expecting anything as epic as his first few films.)

Colin
The $75 movie that made all of the press with being one of the films to show the world through the eyes of one of the undead AND on an amazing budget. It does drag for a bit at a few parts but this is another must have for the collection of any zombie connoisseur.

As someone whose looking to getting married next year it’s only fitting that I put up a movie dealing with divorce. Right? Here’s the tale of 4 men who are getting together to help one of their friends get over a divorce that he’s going through with a little rest and relaxation. It’s a fun romp that everyone should enjoy!

This one is a much harder topic to touch on. There are so many books that come out each year I really couldn’t touch on all of them or even nearly so. I tried to pick the best, most interesting, most relevant, and seasonal of the options available. So here they are in no particular order!

Let’s kick it off in style for the books. This is for the Christmas season so we really should start with Christmas Carols am I right? How about a full book of Christmas Carols! While we never got a copy of this to review I’ve had a few friends link some of these to me and from what little I’ve read they are an absolute riot!

Instead of an anthology put together by Lyle I suppose I’ll be generous and mention the first novel he’s got out as well! It’s a young adult styled novel with all kinds of undead. Vampires and of course with his true passion – Zombies. Did I mention it also has a full Christmas theme to it? Yes it’s THOSE kind of elves!

So Now You’re A Zombie: A Handbook For The Newly Undead
There have been a ton of zombie manuals out there. Guides of how to deal with the apocalypse. What about a guide though for the undead? Zombies need manuals too and this one has been passed down through generations of the undead to help them survive after being turned!

Zombie Stuff
Toys are fun. That’s really all I can say and everything here ranges from toys to plushies to just ‘fun’ things that are going to probably mainly sit around and collect dust. But they’ll collect dust in style dammit! I mean how can you not love each and every one of these?
Zombie Duckie
Rubber ducks are pretty damn awesome. Apparently though we’ve learned something new that’s fun – rubber ducks can become zombies! I’ve got one. It still makes a Quacking sound while it swims in circles. Thankfully it has no teeth (I’m not quite sure how it got infected) so I’m not worried about getting bit. Rubber ducky.. you’re the one! Making bath time lots of OMG IT BIT ME!

For those who want a bit more of a creative tilt to their life should get a kick out of this. Personally I always loved trying to be creative with magnetic poetry when I was younger but being able to do it with zombie themed magnets? Count me in!

Zombie Zoo Pet
We actually are planning on doing a full up review on these because I have one and they are pretty damn neat! Basically it’s a zombie pet that you can enjoy having even for your kids! Created by a child’s author/illustrator these just have the look of something directly out of a children’s book! A great gift to the kids in your family (though at 30 I love mine!)

Zombie Games
There really weren’t a lot of options here. I couldn’t easily add in XBLA, PSN, iPhone, and Android games for sale or this list would have been much larger. It’s so hard to buy them for others that I had to pretty much go with the console and PC games. When you think that over there really weren’t many options there.
Dead Rising 2
Dead Rising 2 is the AMAZING sequel to Dead Rising and a must have for any gamer who loves zombie gamers out there (aside from those who can only play first person shooters.) Fun game modes and a great plot (with a fun return of Frank West in the most recent expansion!)

Left 4 Dead 2
Did I mention first person shooters? How about the sequel to THE zombie first person shooter? Yes Left 4 Dead 2 is bringing the franchise back with another zed filled experience putting you and 3 friends up against hordes of the undead.
