Game Review: Zombie Room – iPhone

Blast zombies like never before in this simple, and challenging zombie survival shooter.

Summary

4/5 – The perfect way to end your busy day, practicing head shots on the unlimited zombie hordes chasing after you. Load your favorite weapon and have at it!

Controls

4/5 – While slightly awkward on my iPhone, they wouldn’t be much improved with a larger screen on the iPad. That’s just how it goes with touch screen however, and the producers of this game do the best that they can with the limited options available. Now if I could attach a joystick to my iPhone, I’d be amazed!

Graphics

3/5 – Nothing too exciting other than the blood smears left on the ground and walls once you’re done cutting through these mindless foes. The bodies disappear from the screen by sinking into the ground, and fresh zombies respawn from the walls. Their bodies up close resemble modern day video game graphics from the 1990s.

Sound

4/5 – A sound for each weapon, and a little repetitive techno music to go along with it.

Story

2/5 – There’s no story here at all. It seems you’re in some sort of training simulation, what with the white grid walls and such. You’re in a large room with no hallways or exits. Weapons spawn occasionally after clearing a wave of zombies.

Replay Value

5/5 – This game is fun fun fun, and is replayable for better scores. Challenge friends, let them try a few rounds, and see who the best slayer of the walking dead is! And a FYI, 219 was my best score, but taking photos with the iPhone whilst kiting zombies is not so easy to do.

Pricing

4/5 – Less than a single dollar grants unlimited fun that is not going to bore you in the first 5 minutes.
