Review: Lamebo

The government has been conducting experiments to make plain farm animals into super-soldiers to take the place of humans in combat. But our enemies sabotaged the experiment turning them instead into zombies… All but one, LAMEBO! Sheep soldier extraordinaire!

Armed with an arsenal of weapons and your fastest tapping fingers It is up to you to help LAMEBO destroy the undead threat and save humanity in Swag Soft LLP’s “LAMEBO vs Zombies” for $.99 or “LAMEBO: endless cavern (free trial) on the iPhone app store.

Control 4/5

The gameplay is fast paced, fun and challenging. This is one of those games anyone can pick up and play.

The game is a top down view of a battlefield where our hero stands his ground against wave after wave of zombie scum, literally.

Lamebo is stationary throughout the level, while hordes of zombies attack from all directions, all you have to do is tap on the screen where you want to send your bullets… But it isn’t easy.

With different zombies moving at different speeds you have to think about who to take out first. Just don’t think to long or you will have zombies chewing on your lamb chops!

Sound 3/5

There isn’t a whole lot to this game as far as sound goes a generic track in the background and various gun sounds as you tap away make up the majority of the sound. Zombies moan and make noise but the thing that I found humorous is the voice of our hero as he screams random things. He is way to excited about things like “WEAPONS UPGRADE!!”

Graphics 4/5

The graphics are dark and gritty, with a splash of color to highlight the action. A painted scene makes the stationary background. And colorful zombies flood the screen from all around. The white fur of or hero keeps him in sight at all times as the undead masses stalk ever closer.

Will our fuzzy farmyard warrior save the day or will the undead brain munchers have a tasty meal of succulent lamb chops with brain trimmings? The outcome is up to you.
