REVIEW: Call Of Mini Zombies

The zombies have invaded your town and now it is up to you to take the fight to them! Limber up your thumbs it is gonna be a long night…full of annoying controls and buggy gameplay.

Triniti Interactive Limited’s contribution to the zombie gaming genre “Call of Mini Zombies” $.99 on the app store leaves a bittersweet taste in my mouth,

Here’s why…

Graphics- 3/5

Though the graphics are colorful and look amazing on the retina display, they could have been smoothed just a little bit more. The blockhead style of both the zombies and our hero character work well for what the game is, a fun, time wasting, zombie killing experience… However some graphic glitches make the heads disappear at certain angles. Speaking of disappearing at random walls and floors have a tendency to do that as well.

Sound- 4/5

The sound is good. A Solid rock type track plays in the background as you spray and pray the hordes of the undead.

Control- 2/5

This is where I have one of my biggest complaints with the game. It is a single stick shooter that SHOULD be a dual stick shooter. The control scheme is annoying.

You move with your left thumb and press the shoot button with the right. To aim you have to drag a finger around and then center your sight on the zombie you wanna shoot. I found a way to basically play like a dual stick shooter but you waste ammo that way so it isn’t a good option.

This brings me to my biggest problem with the game, it is one of those games that you earn coins to upgrade your gear, HOWEVER, you don’t earn enough even after several levels combined to purchase any of the better weapons, or other hero outfits… But Triniti interactive has a solution to that, give them more of your real money and purchase coin packages starting at $.99 and going up from there… *long string of expletives entered here in a rant voicing my opinion of this in true Marine Corps fashion* I hate greedy game developers…
I hope they all come back as zombies so it is not frowned upon if I shoot them in the face…
