There’s a slew of indie comics shown in this trailer from Indie Comics Magazine but if you want to check out the scenes from The Zombie War of 1812 you can safely skip to the 1:46 mark.

What’s It About?

It’s the American Revolution. General Harrison’s Brigade has joined with British forces to battle an unexpected force: undead soldiers gather near Lexington.

The Press Release

Writer Joe Sergi is a newcomer but no stranger to critical acclaim. Sergi’s first novel, Sky Girl and the Superheroic Legacy, was released from iEnovel in 2010. That same year Joe received the Haller Award for Best Writer from the Comic Book Artist Guild at New York Comic Con. He was selected as a semi-finalist in the Who Wants to Create a Superheroine contest sponsored by the Shadowline Imprint of Image Comics. Sergi writes short stories and articles in the horror, science fiction, and superhero genres. For comics he has written romance, superhero, science fiction, and horror tales.

Artist Marc Jameson mixes the known with the unexpected, presenting zombies in uniform and combining a clean inked line with chaotic page layouts.

Other creators featured in the issue include Star Trek book writer Frederick Kim, Norwegian Glenn Møane, and Australia’s Paul Bradford. The cover painting is by Image and Disney illustrator Terry Pavlet.
