What is Gatorshark vs. Zombie Cheerleaders you ask? Well, pretty much exactly what the title promises. We have a gator/shark hybrid terrorizing a camp of cheerleaders who have been zombified by evil spirits inhabiting the ground beneath the cabins of their cheerleading camp. The fully synopsis from the movie’s site states:
“A half-shark half-alligator creature escapes from a secret government facility and starts wreaking havoc in a remote California town. In a campground close by a group of young girls arrive to attend a cheerleading training camp to prepare for the cheerleading world championships. Little do they know that the cabins are built on an ancient haunted burial ground, and the dead come to life during the night and start infecting the girls. The few that are left alive must fend for themselves against not only the living dead but also the Gatorshark, a creature with the head of a shark and the body of an alligator.â€
But really what more do we need to know beyond zombie cheerleaders battling a gator with a shark head? Nothing as far as I’m concerned…well that is of course except where and when can we see this bit of celluloid genius? The Gatorshark camp has reported to BuyZombie that the movie is still a go and is making slow progress forward, but still requires some funding, which blows my mind.
In the wake of Sharknado and its follow up Ghost Shark how can SyFy and The Asylum pass this up? Cast someone from Degrassi or Saved By the Bell or whatever syndicated teen crapfest no one cares about anymore and get this damn movie made!
Then again maybe they don’t know about this gem…[email protected]…[email protected]
It’s in your hands people! How badly do you want to see the slice of cinematic magic that is Gatorshark vs. Zombie Cheerleaders?
