Have you ever wondered how you would stack up on surviving in the event of a zombie outbreak? We’ve stumbled across a quiz that aims to answer that question. While I personally feel that it might be missing a few important questions to really analyze your chances it’s still a fun little quiz to kill some time with.

Are you ready for the next zombie attack? Can you survive all of the many dangers, both undead and human? A new online quiz has been published on the Zombies of the World website (www.zombiesoftheworld.com) to help educate the public. The quiz assesses personality, skills, and attitudes toward the undead and other survivors in order to determine how likely the individual is to survive in a zombie attack.

The quiz was based on material from Zombies of the World: A Field Guide to the Undead by Ross Payton. Years of research are contained in these pages, revealing at least 20 distinct zombie species, their range, habitat, conservation status and behavior – including attack styles.

Ross Payton, award winning author and podcaster, has identified and classified by genus and species zombies around the world. Zombies of the World received the 2012 Benjamin Franklin Award for Best Humor Book of the year and three other national prizes.

QUOTE FROM Ross – “Unfortunately, most neophytes in the zombie world focus almost exclusively on the Common Gray Shambler. Within our own borders there are many species that an individual could face – Talking Zombies or North American Cabin Lurkers. Of course, the greatest threat many survivors will face are other survivors. Humans are many times more dangerous than any undead species.”

This, well illustrated and comprehensive field guide to species from the Common Gray Shambler to the Aztec Mummy, shows the reader which types are likely to be found in their region, what their attack or eating patterns are and how best to avoid or combat each type.
