Because life (or should I say un-life) isn’t complete without some dancing this coming Saturday if you are near Glen Burnie, MD you are going to want to check out their zombie prom!

Big Damn Films announces Baltimore Zombie Prom
fundraiser for local film project. Film proceeds to
benefit  The American Red Cross and Kids Need to Read

Glen Burnie, MD ­ Local film company Big Damn Films will be hosting the Baltimore Zombie Prom on Saturday
May 31st, 2014 at La Fontaine Bleue  (7514 S. Ritchie Highway, Glen Burnie, Maryland 21061). Guests are invited
to attend in their scariest zombie evening wear, or to have a zombie makeover at the event. Tickets start at $36,
ages 18 and up. General Admission Tickets do not include Zombie Makeovers, which are $10 on site.

Proceeds from the prom fundraiser will help fund filming of Big Damn Films’ latest project, Z*CON, scheduled to
begin in summer 2014 in the Baltimore area. Z*CON is a film about four teenagers caught in a zombie outbreak in
the middle of a comic book convention. Proceeds from the film will be donated to charities including The American
Red Cross and Kids Need to Read.

Big Damn Fan Films, Inc. is that it is an all­ volunteer grassroots 501(c)(3) charity organization. A group of fans of
the television and film series “Firefly” and “Serenity” formed the organization around the principle that the energy
and talents of members of the fandom could be channeled into giving back to the community. Browncoat Big
Damn Fan Films was organized to support other 501(c)(3) charities by creating, and promoting, fan made films as
a source of fundraising and advocacy for the chosen supported charities.

According to volunteer M. Garcia, “To take something you love to do, and employ it as a means to give and support
something so important as the Red Cross and educating children ­ how can one say no?”

Big Damn Fan Films, Inc. filmed a proof of concept for the Z*CON in 2013. Their last movie project  ­ Browncoats:
Redemption, raised $117,000 for five charities.
