Techland, the developers of the first couple Dead Island games, has released a story trailer for their upcoming zombie survival game/parkour simulator, Dying Light. If you’re like me, killing zombies doesn’t mean much if you don’t have a meaningful story behind it, so this is a breath of fresh air. Sure, all the examples of zombie-destruction have been pretty cool up till now, but it’s nice to get a better feel for why we’ll be running around a city, killing hordes of the undead.
It looks interesting, that’s certain, though I’m not sure how much of this is unbroken ground, if you know what I mean. Still, I’m willing to give them the benefit of the doubt for now.
Dying Light is slated for a North American release on January 27, on Windows, PS4, and Xbox One.
