While Archie himself has never had that much of a big (or small) screen presence it looks as if the inclusion of zombies is going to be changing all of that. Greg Berlanti, the showrunner of ‘Arrow’ and ‘The Flash’ isn’t just developing a new show that features Archie, Veronica, Betty and even Josie & the Pussycats for Fox but also an ‘Afterlife With Archie’!
Jon Goldwater was asked about the comic being turned into some form of media, specifically a TV series or movie, and his response was, “As for film and TV – the answer is YES! Absolutely! This is something that will be happening at some point in the near future – nothing to announce just yet, but rest assured it will happen”
No news yet on what type of show or movie it’ll be or where we could end up seeing it but it does sound promising for fans of throwing zombies into pre-existing franchises. The comic itself really did well on reviews so it’ll be interesting to see what direction this could go in.
