There’s a neat article over on IGN about Polish video game developer Techland and their upcoming game Dying Light. It’s a lot like their previous Dead Island games in a lot of ways, and I know that I and a lot of other people have wondered why Dying Light wasn’t the next Dead Island game in the first place. Short take: Apparently it was originally going to be a Dead Island sequel, but as things often happen in business, they disagreed with their publisher over the direction the game was going to take.  Obviously there’s a bit more to it than that, so you should go check the article out right here. It’s an informative read and even if it doesn’t divulge any secrets, it’s always interesting to see how things happen behind the scenes.
Dying Light will be released on PC, PS4, and Xbox One here in North America on January 27th. If you’re already convinced it’ll be a great game, you can pre-order on Amazon.
