Wait, that headline sounded a bit more sinister than I intended. Let me be clear. What’s going on is that Techland is releasing, for free, a 3D model of a zombie from Dying Light for use with 3D printers. In my experience, many people who like to collect such figures also tend to be painters and I’m guessing that’s their experience as well because they’re also encouraging you to go ahead and paint it. And let’s be honest, an unpainted model would be pretty boring. I think this is a cool idea since a most such figures and figurines I see at comic shops tend to run for astronomically high prices. This seems to be a relatively less expensive alternative that you can personalize more easily. The problem being that you do need access to a 3D printer. I mean, they’re becoming more common, but they’re still not all that common. Still, at least the file itself (which you can download right here) is free, so if you do have a 3D printer, or know someone else who has one, and you have the inclination, you might as well print yourself up a zombie.

Dying Light is slated for a North American release on January 27, on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
