So, apparently Techland isn’t done with their media blitz. You’d think that when a game gets released you wouldn’t spend quite as much time creating amazing multimedia extended commercials. Well, that’s not how Techland rolls and I’m not complaining. They’ve partnered with a group called Flying Carpet Studio to make a short film they’ve called “The Last Supply Drop.” It’s got everything you’d expect from Dying Light: parkour in an empty city, zombies, traps, survivors getting eaten… the works. It is rather short, barely three and half minutes long with credits included, but it manages to get done what it needs to. There are exciting chase scenes, tense slow scenes, and a somewhat predictable ending, given Techland’s track record when it comes to short zombie films. (Seriously, you should go watch the various trailers for the Dead Island series and the early trailers for Dying Light if you don’t know what I mean.) The Last Supply Drop is definitely worth watching if you’ve got some extra time to kill.
