By the time you get this, it will be less than a week until Halloween. Â Where is the time going? Â Of course, this is our favorite time of the year with all of the little ghosts and gouls running around, and there are even kids in costumes. Â Even better, there are so many of you who decide to indulge in some spooky reading of your own. Â If that is indeed the case, then you know that JournalStone is where you need to look.
Now here is some news that I’m really happy to put out there. Â Just as we’ve done before, we held an open submission call this summer. Â To say the least, the response was overwhelming. Â Over 120 submissions were made, and two were selected. Â Congratulations to Mark Dunn and Jeff Pryor, the newest members of the JournalStone family. Â Mark’s book, The Last Night, is a page turner about twins separated as children who feel an irresistible urge to find each other, with deadly consequences. Â Jeff’s book, Chosen of Trees and Talons, will appeal to the fantasy readers among you who are looking for a classic tale of good vs evil in a world that is richly painted for the reader. Â These books are both outstanding! Â I know. Â I’ve read them both.
Finally, if you have liked our Facebook page, you will have seen that we made a few changes to Dark Discoveries Magazine. Â We won’t be featuring scantily clad women on our covers anymore. Â Instead, we want the cover to reflect the superb interviews and outstanding feature articles that define our magazine. Â We are confident that you will like the change.
Until next month…
