I wasn’t sure what to expect when I curled up with my laptop last night but was soon drawn in to weird wild Dead Scalp where no one cuts their hair. And for good reason. Unless you want to be digested and eaten by the hair sprouting like spores from the ground. But will the new villain in town heed this warning or will he bring chaos with his greed and the ultimate end to Dead Scalp? With some of the most creative splatterpunk killings involving simply growing hair, Jasper Bark has created a standalone masterpiece. Read it at your own risk, but whatever you do don’t cut you hair.

This was one fun, quick, wild ride. And now I want to pick  up the rest of the books. Bark’s style is sparse and not flowery with just enough words to build the story without bogging down the reader. His masterful dialogue helps move the action along. And the ending to this book is ruthless justice and karma. You won’t want to miss it.
